Two graphic designers get married: NO doubt it’d be such a fun, aesthetically pleasing day right?! Like any bride, the forecast of rain on Bri’s wedding week stressed her out but ended up being “absolutely perfect.”
Their day included all their faves: their dog Pickles who wore flowers from Shelly Saver Designs around his neck and walked down the aisle, chips and guac, COLOR, and live music by the Dirty Rotten Scoundrel’s at Joe’s brother’s concert venue in the East Village.
HOW THEY MET: “We grew up across the street from each other when we were both little. He was good friends with my oldest brother, Jordan. When I was five, my family moved from the house that we lived in over to a new house in Johnston. Joe stayed in touch with my brother, but they drifted apart as they started new schools. Several years later, Joe and I reconnected in our graphic design classes at Iowa State. We became good friends when we sat next to each other during the second semester of our senior year. I was dating someone at the time, and that didn’t work out (thankfully!!). I had a feeling Joe always had a crush on me in class, but we didn’t end up talking until the summer after we graduated. He had moved down to Texas for a design job, and I stayed in Des Moines for my job here. We went on several trips where we met in different places in between Lubbock and Des Moines (Tulsa, Witchia, Dallas, Kansas City), and the rest is history. <3”
