Productivity Tip: Calendaring

This time of year, wedding season can start to make us feel WILD with no control over anything. We get into modes of survival at times and neglect ourselves personally.

  • Ever realize at 5pm that you haven’t showered or eaten all day? 😉

  • Wondering how the heck you can fit in blogging in the middle of wedding season?!

I started working with a coach recently and we both noticed a huge thing I needed was a calendar revamp. I spent a week listing out everything I did and realized how chaotic it was.. no wonder I was feeling like my head was cut off!

I started a new system on Sunday nights where I plan out my whole week in Google Calendar.

I write in times that I’m going to cook, when I’m going to the gym, any calls/meetings I have, and when I’m going to work.

The game changer – for the work time, I used to just write “work”, but I’ve started to specifically tell myself what I need to work on each part of the day. This way I can fit in things that usually get pushed aside like blogging or bookkeeping.

It’s given me SOOO much mental clarity and has made me so much more productive in my days! I just started Whole 30 and before planning out my calendar, there’d be no way I’d find consistent time to cook.

Do you do this?! Are you going to try it? Comment below!
