A BIT ABOUT SOPHIE AND GARRETT:

“We first met in middle school but became friends in high school and started dating at the end of our junior year. We recently made it through four years of long distance in college but made up for lost time by traveling together during summers and a semester abroad; we are now living together in Michigan. We are both very into the outdoors and travel, our first time living together was in a tent for two months. We are planning a hiking trip in Montana for our honeymoon, and instead of a registry we’re trying to raise money for a trip next summer.”

Because Sophie and Garrett live in Michigan, their wedding day was the first time I’d met them! From the first hello Sophie was such a sweet, laid back bride. Because I attend so many weddings I see all the hiccups that happen, and their day went SO smoothly! I was amazed! There may have been some behind the scenes, but I saw v e r y few. I believe it had a lot to do with them being a bride and groom with one goal of just getting married to their high school sweetheart and enjoying their day! It was a hot + humid day with a breeze that cooled you off at just the right time. Their friends and family came from all over the US to celebrate the love these two have for each other and the whole day I could tell how much their friends + family adore them. It was a joy to witness! Congrats you two!!
