5 Ways to Celebrate Spring | Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

If you know me, you know one of my favorite seasons is spring! I’m a spring baby, we got engaged in spring, married in spring, and I’ve always just loved the season of newness. It’s full of happiness, flowers, and it means winter is as far away as possible – haha! Here are some fun ways to help embrace this new season, regardless of if there’s a Midwest snowstorm coming still…

1. Buy a bouquet of fresh flowers!

Because why should you have to only get fresh flowers on your wedding day or Valentine’s Day? There’s not much better than having a bouquet of freshness in your own home or office space, so treat yourself. 🙂

2. Do fun Easter activities with friends & family. Decorate some Easter eggs, plan an Easter egg hunt, or get a piñata!

These activities don’t need to end when you’re 8! Bring out your inner child with your friends and I’m sure you’ll all spend the day smiling. Some of the greatest memories I have are my family’s to Easter egg hunts (everyone above the age of 18). There were coins + some dollar bills in each egg, and whoever got the most money at the end got a gift! And the losers got to keep the spare change. 😉

Also… a piñata at Easter is a must. If you’ve never tried it, hang one from a tree and get a blindfold. Everyone gets candy and has a blast while participating! I can’t think of a better way to bring in Spring than that.

3. Brunch + mimosas. Need I say more?

There’s something about brunch that screams spring morning. And mimosas – so refreshing + fun!

4. Have a spring cleaning clothes swap with your friends.

If you’re anything like me, you’re totally sick of your clothes by March 1st. It’s killing you that you’ll have to show off your pasty legs in a matter of weeks, so make it a little more fun by getting a fresh wardrobe!

Another fun thing to do is go shopping, if it’s in your budget, or go thrifting with some friends. It’s always fun to see what everyone comes up with.

5. Get a new hair do!

After the long winter, a new hairstyle will keep things exciting and fresh. New season, new beginnings, right?
